It has evolved and expanded into diverse Business Service functions including Lilly Meetings & Congresses. Enterprise Meeting Services (EMS) is a centralized global meetings and congresses team that offers best in class, compliant and seamless execution of meetings and congresses, utilizing efficient tools and processes to accelerate business requirements and deliver outstanding customer experiences. We take care of all aspects of health care providers and employee meetings and congresses for all business areas such as Marketing, Medical, Sales and others, delivering an end-to-end support that includes strategic project management, consultancy, logistics planning and oversight, contracting, administrative and finance support, vendor management, on-site execution and facilitate transparency publication. The Associate Director, Enterprise Meeting Services – is responsible for leading the Meetings and Congress Teams. This oversight includes customers and employee activities in all global and US business areas. The Associate Director, Enterprise Meeeting Services is accountable for delivering excellence customer experience in meetings and congresses, in a full compliance processes frame, promoting and facilitating cross functional efforts in the full scope of the role including global and local vendor relationships management. This person will be responsible for driving innovation, efficiency and standardizing for all processes and interactions connected with meeting and congress activities. The role will lead alignment and sponsorship from a large base of Lilly stakeholders from Global and US teams including senior leadership. Additionally, this person will be responsible for ensuring proper resources, serve as an escalation point as necessary, and remove barriers across the organization. Through these activities, this person will contribute significantly to the overall successful management of the Company’s meetings and congress services including technology implementation, vendor management and transparency publication. ? Responsibilities: Functional Leadership and People Management ? ?Recruit/attract, develop, engage, and retain a diverse and highly capable workforce with technical and strategic capabilities. ?Actively coach and mentor staff, including providing strategic guidance to staff in any related topic including development, reward, and recognition. ?Participate and represent staff in succession planning activities, talent assessment, merit pay, promotion processes and reward and recognition activities to retain and motivate staff. ?Support and encourage a culture of innovation and model inclusivity to ensure diverse voices and ideas are heard and considered. ?Forges solid relationships with all key stakeholders, translating business needs into clear plans and clear deliverables. ?Leading leaders of teams, if applicable. ?Model the expectations of Team Lilly by: Creating a winning culture of decision-making and shared learning that includes accountability, excellence, and integrity. Support and encourage a culture of innovation and model inclusivity to ensure diverse voices and ideas are considered. ? ? Managerial responsibilities ? ?As “Operational Process owner “, align with, objectives, and strategies of GBS, Business Units and Therapeutic areas. Develop synergies with the broader organization to successfully implement new strategies and support best practices. Oversight EMS teams to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and successful strategic project management of meetings. ?Make timely, judgement-based decisions, that involve resources (people, time, and funds) independently. ?Develop and build effective and long-lasting working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a focus on best operations and best practices across different geographies / therapeutic areas / business units ensuring the value proposition of the team is tangible and measurable. ?Partner with EMS organization, EMS Capabilities and Process Owner(s) in collaboration with all GBS Teams. ?Lead Business reviews with GBS, lead teams and stakeholders as needed. ?Ensure appropriate, necessary, and effective metrics development, review/analysis, reporting and issue resolution to drive business and operational changes. ?Have a strong working knowledge of the Global Business Solutions objectives and strategies; utilize knowledge to develop and implement communication strategies and initiatives, pilot, and or/technical developments (e.g. tools/technologies). ?Drive communication strategy ensuring consistency and alignment. ?Manage audit readiness, quality, and compliance requests. Control on operations to support Transparency publication across the regions. Manage and oversee supplier performance to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and successful strategic management of Meetings & Congresses. Basic requirements: Bachelor’s degree ?Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and ideally of 5 years of experience in a meetings and travel management role within a large corporation. Track record in management of teams, both internal and ideally external to Lilly (suppliers) with demonstrated ?ability to manage change in a fast environment, influence decisions and to be agile. ?Strong leadership, management, interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, influencing, motivational, project management, effective communication, and critical thinking skills with ability to use effectively in a team, cross functional, matrix and global environment. ?Ability to establish a clear understanding of the distinct accountabilities and expectations of direct reports. ? ?? Strong background in various ways of engaging with customers. ?Understanding of patient journeys, moments of truth, and customer engagement. ?Previous experience partnering with external vendors. ?Working knowledge of compliance issues and regulatory requirements. ?Demonstrated knowledge of corporate policies and procedures including Ethical Interactions with external Parties, Anti-Corruption and CIA. ?Good working knowledge of evolving technologies and tools and their applications. ?Experience in managing business planning, budgeting, and capacity resourcing. ?? ?? The anticipated wage for this position is $122,250 - $179,300 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
