Aegis Worldwide Mold Setter ANY SHIFT/$17-$22/Full-Time Lafayette, IN Overview: Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a Tier 1 Supplier to SIA where they supply the interior and exterior trim parts of the Subaru vehicles including the door panels. Here their products are plastic molded, painted, and assembled before being sent out. Requirements: Education and/or Experience1-3 Year apprentice trade certificate in tool making preferred. 5-10 years injection mold processing experience Computer and Technology Skills: Possess good PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Mathematical Skills:Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability:Must have common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Responsibilites: Qualify new molds using scientific injection molding techniques and root cause analysis. Monitor activity and provide instruction, train and assist mold set-up technicians on a daily basis or as required to maintain efficiency and production requirements. Develop optimized process and setup sheets for each mold. Performs advanced troubleshooting, work directly with mold preventive maintenance on all tooling in a professional manner to maintain production requirements. Ensure proper equipment, mold, tool, and supply storage. Serve as the technical contact and expert for the injection molding department. Create record and control all documents related to Process control for historical tracking.
