What You’ll Do as the Land Development Project Engineer You will contribute to a range of civil engineering projects, including street, site and highway developments funded by federal, state and local agencies. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, collaborate with public agencies and professional organizations and expand your professional network. You'll also continue to grow your technical expertise, gain hands-on experience, and support the development of junior engineers through mentorship. Design and develop geometric layouts, water and sewer systems, drainage systems, and site development solutions, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Interpret and apply engineering principles to plans, drawings, and specifications while maintaining quality control throughout the design process. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including subconsultants, to support field operations such as surveys, studies, and construction observations, ensuring seamless integration of design elements. Assist in project planning by contributing to technical documentation, design reports, and proposal development, identifying innovative solutions to meet client and regulatory needs. Mentor and collaborate with technical staff, fostering skill development and teamwork to enhance design efficiency and professional growth. What You'll Bring to the Table Education: A Bachelors degree in Engineers (Civil Engineering is preferred) Licensure: Ability to obtain PE license in Indiana (current license preferred) Experience: 8 years of hands on experience with Land Development projects at a civil engineering firm based in the United States with a focus on site planning, design, and/or construction Location: Lafayette, IN; hybrid schedule is available.
