The Product Manager-Fluid Power will report to the Director of
Product Development and will be responsible for Product Line
Management activities that are core to Muncie Power sustainability
and growth strategies. Management includes product portfolio,
lifecycles, markets competition, trends, pricing, technology
developments and disruptions. Location: This position will sit at
our corporate headquarters in Muncie, IN. Essential Duties &

portfolio management Coordinate strategic plans to support & align
product for sales growth Develop product positioning strategies
Make product development, design, mounting, or other change
recommendations to meet customer demands Quantify new product
opportunities and market potential Assist the Product Development
Team in developing strategy for existing and new innovative
products Participates in corporate strategy planning meeting when
applicable Proactive product price strategy, tactical pricing
support, and Product lifecycle management Proactive market
potential, pricing, life cycles, and forecast volumes strategies
Develop tactical pricing strategies Competitive product landscape
Informs Management of disruptive products, sales strategies, and
market changes that could affect MPP business strategies Be an
expert with respect to the competition in areas of products,
programs, and market focus including F.A.B.---s, price & price
strategy, Competitor S.W.O.T. analysis D-Industry and Market
segment trends monitoring, particularly technology development
Quantify Market Stability & Evolution Analyze market research data
on the needs of the truck equipment industry including analysis and
knowledge of competitive products New Product Development Make
recommendations and evaluations on new product opportunities with
priorities Participate in or leads new product development teams
Coordinate product ---concepts into production--- from sales &
customers Leads coordination with sales and tech services beta
field programs for product evaluation Assists with new product
research and development evaluation functions in accordance with
established company practices, procedures and objectives Assists in
prototype installations when required and evaluates performance
Sales, Markets, and Application Knowledge Support sales with
information on products and applications Sales report analysis
Field Sales Manager Engagement-target customers, opportunities
Conducts periodic market evaluations Product Launches/Updates
Responsible for the implementation of all new products while
coordinating with other departments including Sales and Marketing.
Includes Internal Announcements, MPP Internal Release Team,
Prototype Documents for field placement, White paper --- marketing
Establish List Prices and Initial Inventory Review sourcing and
operation Kanban levels Product features, benefits, and value
proposition definition/ownership Support training department to
Develop and present internal product training (IE: Train the
trainer- CSM, ZSM, Tech Services, etc.) Field support of key growth
initiatives Provide technical expertise on product, programs,
services, etc. to help ---close--- the sale Accompany and assist
sales as required Attend sales conferences and trade shows as
required Facilitate exchange of information between Product
Management and sales management Travel up to 50% of the time
Customer complaint and warranty trends monitoring Review data
associated to customer feedback (warranties, call reports, FSM CSM
input, etc.) for improved customer experience and performance where
applicable Provide technical assistance to senior management Other
Provides information for the work assignments, direction, and
guidance to the Assistant to the Product Manager. Assist in
providing reports as needed for situation Attends trades shows and
career related profession organization meetings Performs other
duties as assigned by the Director of Product Development
Participates in corporate team initiatives Experience and Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Superior interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse
personalities Excellent planning and organizational skills Computer
literate Flexible to effectively adapt to changing conditions and
job assignments Willing to travel Prefer product management duties
in industrial or mechanical type products Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor---s degree preferred in Design, Mechanical,
Industrial engineering, or other applicable degrees. Possible A.A.S
in like degrees plus a minimum five years experience working on the
technical side of products or other applicable degree. Language:
