looking to hire. We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager
to join our team at our Muncie, Indiana facility! As a key Leader
of the Manufacturing Operations team, this position is responsible
for the Quality Management System. In addition, is responsible for
maintaining customer and NASG quality standards and policies,
supporting the plant team to resolve concerns, driving corrective
and preventative actions and continuous improvements, and
development of engineering and technical staff within the Quality
department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A. Manages process to evaluate current state and develop plan to
support department training and development of engineers and
technicians in problem solving, improvement tools and communication
methods.
B. Serves as customer contact for all quality issues and represent
NASG as required to resolve issues.
C. Monitors / reports / improves all plant quality performance
metrics.
D. Ensures creation and maintenance of Control Plans, FMEA's, Flow
Diagrams and In-Process Inspection documentation.
E. Provides guidance to Production group related to part
inspection
F. Advises production on inspection, SPC, gage use.
G. Participates in MRB review and product containment activity.
H. Oversees plant Corrective / Preventive Action process activities
for timely and effective resolution.
I. Participates in Layered Audit process.
J. Participates in New Product Development as necessary.
K. Participates in APQP process and ensure completion of plant APQP
tasks.
L. Supports and assists Early Product Containment team by providing
leadership and basic quality direction.
M. Works closely with operations team to resolve quality concerns
or questions.
N. Supports Internal / External / Customer audits as required.
O. Serves as Management Representative for plant QMS.
P. Coordinates individual, team and plant improvement
activities.
Q. Manages department budget.
R. Establishes and executes department strategy plan for year over
year continuous improvement for key department metrics
S. Continually evaluates department processes for adherence while
identifying and executing improvement to process design to improve
department efficiency and effectiveness.
T. In addition to performing primary duties, the individual shall
provide support where deemed necessary by Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Office: Open office environment
Plant: Various types of manufacturing environments that include but
not limited to: Stamping, Welding, Assembly, Grinding, Wash,
Receiving, Shipping, Sorting
Travel: Potential travel within Canada, Mexico and continental
United States via automobile or plane, passport required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
