This role oversees all operational and economic aspects of asset performance, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and the production of quality fossil-based fuels and renewable products efficiently and productively.Key Objectives and Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety culture aligns with Calumet principles and management systems are in place for a safe workplace.
• Maintain a culture of environmental compliance and risk management.
• Guarantee the production of quality products with appropriate quality systems.
• Engage deeply in economic understanding and asset optimization, influencing throughout the value chain.
• Understand cost structures and trade-offs to optimize operating expenses.
• Ensure organizational effectiveness through proper design, strong leadership, and a healthy team dynamic.
• Act as a "business owner," collaborating with commercial teams on raw materials and products.
• Manage union relations and provide leadership in union matters.
• Coordinate indirectly with corporate resources like HR, Procurement, Legal, etc.
• Foster a learning culture focused on continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Lead community interaction and communication strategies.
• Participate in governmental affairs as needed.Required Education and Experience

• 15+ years in manufacturing
• Experience as a plant leadership team memberPreferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
  • MBA (a plus)
  • Previous experience as a Plant Manager
  • Experience in economics, planning, and LP optimization (a plus)
  • Proven ability to develop leaders
  • Experience working with unionsCompetencies
