- Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment
- Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and
perform EKG's
- Administer injections and collect specimens
- Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record
software
- Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process
medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete
paperwork
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office

Qualifications: -
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or -willing to
obtain certification within 180 days of start date
- Proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases is an
employment requirement
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this
role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all -federal, state and
local regulations as well as all client requirements and will
obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure
compliancePreferred Qualifications:
- CPR certification
- Additional healthcare certifications including ARRT, CEHRS,
CBCS, CMAA, CPT
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical
Technician
- EMR/EHR experience
- Experience with NextGen medical record software
- Experience with medical front office and back-office duties
including vitals, phlebotomy, injections, casting/splinting,
administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and
