• Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment
• Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG's
• Administer injections and collect specimens
• Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software
• Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or -willing to obtain certification within 180 days of start date
  • Proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases is an employment requirement
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all -federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliancePreferred Qualifications:
    • CPR certification
    • Additional healthcare certifications including ARRT, CEHRS, CBCS, CMAA, CPT
    • Experience working as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician
    • EMR/EHR experience
    • Experience with NextGen medical record software
