$1,000 Sign-on bonus!This is a traveling role that includes reimbursement for mileage. Position Details:Location: American Health Network, a Part of Optum: 3631 N Morrison Rd, Muncie, IN 47304 (primary location). **This is a traveling role to Kokomo and Lebanon practices. All travel includes mileage reimbursement.**Schedule: Monday: Kokomo in the Clinic 8:00 am - 4:00 pmTuesday: Muncie in the Clinic 8:00 am - 5:00 pmWednesday: Lebanon in the Clinic 8:00 am - 4:00 pmThursday: Muncie in the Clinic 8:00 am - 5:00 pmFriday: Muncie working on Admin Duties 8:00 am - 4:00 pmSpecialty: Foot and AnkleWe will work with you by providing education and training to receive your Radiology License to take X- Rays of the Foot and Ankle (Anything below the knee).Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments
  • Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs
  • Document patient care using electronic medical record software
  • Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures
  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as neededYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or completion of an equivalent adult education program
    • Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate or certification OR 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a medical assistant after on-the-job training OR Current enrollment in an accredited medical assistant training program OR Active EMT certification accredited
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliancePreferred Qualifications:
      • Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA or RMA)
      • CPR certification
      • Experience working as a Medical Assistant or EMT
      • Experience with electronic medical record software
      • Experience performing medical back office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medications
      • Experience performing medical front office tasks including scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, medication refills and referralsProof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases is an employment requirement.
