Job Description:
Indiana University Health Ball Memorial is seeking a
compassionate, patient-centered Inpatient Consult Liaison Adult
Psychiatrist to join their growing team of physicians and advanced
providers in Muncie, IN. Primarily serve as consult in the
Emergency Department and hospital medical inpatient consults in the
hospital. A small component of outpatient work in the clinic
setting, approximately two half days a week Position Details:
Primary role to serve as consult liaison for patients in the
emergency department and hospital, and approximately two 1/2 days
seeing patients in outpatient clinic (ideally-90% inpatient and 10%
outpatient) Full-time, 12-hour shifts 7 on/7 off, Monday-Sunday, 25
weeks per year Rotational call between four psychiatrists including
general medical call and admissions to inpatient unit after hours
Consult patient volume averages 7-10 per day Clinic patient volume
averages 8-12 per week. Additional clinic/patient volume available,
if desired Procedures are not required but ECT is available, if
desired Supportive of academic interests including teaching and
research, if desired Supportive of leadership goals and career
development Qualifications: Candidate must be BE or BC in
Psychiatry New graduates and practicing physicians are encouraged
to apply Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical
