Job Description:

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to residents during their shift under physician oversight, including staff delegation, performance, and adherence to policies.
Participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
Executes care plans through assessment, planning, and evaluation.
Administers medications and treatments, evaluating their effectiveness.
Maintains a supportive environment for residents-------- physical, social, and psychological well-being.
Provides resident and family education.
Monitors staff performance, involvement in staff development, and enforces discipline when needed.
Delegates nursing duties appropriately and ensures completion.
Stays current with policies, procedures, and nursing trends through ongoing education.
Recognizes and responds to changes in resident conditions.
Documents care, resident responses, and pertinent data accurately.
Acts as a charge nurse, offering guidance, problem-solving, and decision-making support.
Follows safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Illinois RN licensure, and no abuse convictions. Skills required involve effective communication, policy adherence, and working with diverse residents. Physical demands include frequent movement, lifting, and repositioning. Supervision is provided by nursing leadership.
