qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46845! Pay
Information $2,302 per week About The Position Job Title: ICU Nurse
Profession: RN Specialty: STICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 0300 -
1500 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU
experience required License: Current Indiana RN license or Compact
license Certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS
Must-Have: - Surgical trauma background required - Neuro experience
required Description: The position involves providing nursing care
to critically ill patients in an ICU setting. Candidates must be
comfortable caring for post-surgical, trauma, and neuro patients.
Familiarity with ICP/EVD monitoring, central line and arterial line
placement, and management is essential. Experience with ventilators
and managing multiple critical medications, including vasopressors,
sedation, analgesia, and paralytics, is required. Knowledge of BIS
monitoring is a benefit. The role involves using EPIC for charting
and Pyxis for medication administration. Weekend rotation includes
three weekend shifts per four-week period. Floating to like units
and progressive units may be required. Nurse-to-patient ratio is
1:2. Dress code consists of Caribbean Blue scrubs. Mandatory
attendance for all three days of orientation is required.
