Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Muncie, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab position requiring Cerner experience and at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a short-term acute care hospital on the inpatient rehab unit - Daily patient load typically ranges from 8 to 10 patients - Primary patient population includes medical/surgical, orthopedics, geriatrics, neurology, and cases prepping for discharge - Day shift schedule of 5x8 hours, typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM - Weekends and on-call coverage are not required - No floating required outside assigned unit - Uses Cerner EMR system for documentation - Responsibilities include preparing patients for discharge and providing thorough patient and family education - Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, case management, OT, and ST - Scrub attire required: black pants with royal blue top - Free parking is available on site - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Candidates must be able to work 2 of the 3 major holidays if scheduled - Returning staff must have a 12-month break in employment before reapplying as travelers - Requests for time off of 5 days or less can be auto-approved /n /n Requirements/n - Active Physical Therapist license required if applicable - Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient physical therapy experience required - BLS certification from AHA or RQI required and must be current - Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited university required - Experience with acute care skills, home exercise programs, patient family education, and use of adaptive/assistive devices required - Strong skills in strength testing, body mechanics, pain assessment, and safety/injury prevention are necessary - Cerner EMR experience required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-655159.
