Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Bloomington, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,088 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months required, first timers accepted License: Must obtain compact or temporary license prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required; NIH is preferred Must-Have: - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Post cardiac surgery care - Central line management - PICC line management - Administration of blood products - Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Description: This position involves working in a mixed acuity unit, specifically within progressive care and medical-surgical settings. Registered Nurse will work with patients who have undergone cardiovascular surgeries and other medical interventions. Nurses must be comfortable managing a range of patients with various needs. Ratios are approximately 1:5. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. There is no call requirement, but floating to meet facility needs is expected. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should have experience in caring for ventilated patients and managing ventilators. Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps and Ventricular Assist Devices experience is preferred. Education requires that the candidate's university must be accredited by a recognized body at graduation. Candidates must be able to provide two supervisor references prior to hiring. All submissions must meet the outlined requirements prior to consideration. Candidates must be able to work at least two out of three major holidays. Floating is mandatory within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals when necessary. This position involves supporting a diverse patient population with complex medical needs.
