Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Lafayette, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,757 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months in MS/Tele or PCU License: Must have an in-state license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pacemaker procedures. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty for a mixed acuity unit. The unit includes both medical surgical and progressive levels of care. Patients will include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary care. The nurse-patient ratio for medical surgical patients is 1:5-6 and 1:3-4 for progressive care patients. The unit will administer drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin. Nurses will care for unstable stroke patients and those requiring BiPAP. Solid neuro experience is essential for this role. The candidate must be willing to float within the hospital as needed. Duties include monitoring and managing central lines, titrating cardiac drips, administering blood products, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Candidates should have experience with pre and post cardiac catheterization care. All travelers will receive interdisciplinary support from various services. Floating between units or to affiliate locations may be required. Candidates should be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. References from supervisors will be required prior to offer.
