Job Description Job Description Overview Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a night shift House Supervisor in our Inpatient Unit. Responsibilities The House Supervisor is responsible for the directing the daily activities of the Inpatient Unit. Duties include oversight of care delivered to patients, ensuring that staff, equipment, supplies and other resources are available and accessible for the provision of care and fostering collaborative relationships with staff. Working with other nursing leadership, this individual will assist with the professional development of nursing staff including ensuring the quality of care provided meets or exceeds the standards established by The Joint Commission, CMS, SHC and other applicable governmental or regulatory agencies. This position may have authority beyond nursing departments during non-routine work hours, and may serve as the top-ranking administrative representative for the hospital. Note: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree (BSN) Active RN license in state of practice 3 years' nursing experience in a pediatric clinical setting Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Preferred: 1 Year Nursing Supervisor experience 2 Years Critical Care experience Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
