Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Indianapolis, Indiana,

starts required Description: The role is for a registered nurse
specializing in medical surgical care. The shift is night,
requiring three 12-hour shifts per week. The unit focuses on
neurosurgical and neuro-trauma patients. Patient demographics range
from adolescents to geriatrics. Nurses will care for patients with
a variety of neuro trauma, including MVA, stroke, seizure, brain
and spinal cord injuries, and surgical interventions. Nurses will
participate in early mobility and rehabilitation efforts in
collaboration with therapy teams. Primary care responsibilities
will be supported by an interdisciplinary team. The nurse will
perform various procedures, including IV starts, caths, and wound
care. There will be an opportunity for charge nurse
responsibilities with provided training. Floating to different
levels of care may be required based on operational needs. Staffing
ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6. Nurses are expected to work
every other weekend as per their contract. Consecutive weekends may
be required based on staffing needs. The unit supports early
mobility, emphasizing rehabilitation for patients. Wound care and
management of surgical drains are essential skills for this
position. Experience with trauma care is preferred for candidates.
