Kforce has a client that is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Muncie, Indiana (IN). The Medical Billing Specialist will submit and process Medical Claims to government insurance payors such as, Medicaid and Medicare.Responsibilities:* Responsible for the timely submission of technical or professional medical claims to insurance payors* Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures* Check eligibility and benefit verification* Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information* Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe* Posting insurance payments with accuracy* High School diploma or GED / equivalent in Customer Service experience* Knowledge of insurance billing guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare and state Medicaid* Good technical skills* Great communication skills with the ability to communicate with clarity and conciseness* Will be communicating with Physicians, Insurance Payors, and PatientsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
