The CTO, Chief Technology Officer, will be responsible for leading the ideation and development of innovative and differentiating technical and engineering solutions that support the business strategy. The CTO will collaborate with all Operation line managers and business development & strategy leaders to drive solutions into priority captures, proposals, and major programs.
Essential functions

  • Proactively establish relationships and meet with current and potential customers to demonstrate the company's credentials at solving problems with technically-differentiated solutions.
  • Lead the development of the Operation's annual internal research and development portfolio and provide guidance to and management oversight of all projects.
  • Actively participate in the definition and implementation of the long-term technology strategy aligned to the Operation and Corporate technology strategy and goals.
  • Closely partnering with Operation and Engineering management to ensure the technology strategy is aligned with the organization's strategic plan and is reflected in the business development plans.
  • Consult with business leadership on potential solutions to customer requirements.
  • Seek partnerships with strategic suppliers, renowned universities, and research institutions to increase learning opportunities, sponsor research projects.
  • Responsible for the development and mentoring of a set of mid to senior level technical staff.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. Competencies

      Supervisory responsibilities (what positions are supervised)
      • No direct reports to start Travel required
        • Less than 30% Required education and experience
          • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a Technology or Engineering field or equivalent experience.
          • Recognized as an expert in the field.
          • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading innovation/engineering within a company.
          • Knowledge of and experience in electrical vehicles.
          • Prior technical roles within organizations of similar size and scope with growing duties and responsibilities.
          • A well-developed sense of strategy and the ability to communicate and inspire others to follow.
          • Six Sigma Training - Green belt certified minimum
            Preferred education and experience
            • 5+ years of off-highway construction vehicle experience
            • Public documentation of your knowledge/experience (professional recognition)
            • Over 10 years of experience in leadership and strategic planning
            • Six Sigma Training - Black belt certified Work authorization/security clearance requirementsMust be eligible to work in the United States
