Job Description:
RPGLE (SQL) Programmer (On-site 5 Days): 2nd shift support (4:30
– 12:30) Monday- Friday MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION,
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS): The minimum requirements include: Associates
or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent IT
experience) 2 years’ experience in the following: RPG ILE/Free SQL
CL, SDA, RLU 5 years’ experience in systems analysis and design
Experience in logistics, warehouse, and/or manufacturing
environment Experience in WMS, ERP systems are highly added
advantage Experience in a Change Management System (Aldon,
Turnover, etc.) Knowledge in JSON and/or React is a plus Ability to
work in a highly interactive environment Excellent analytical,
communication and teamwork skills Ability to learn and apply new
technologies Ability to work cooperatively with all levels in
organization Key Responsibilities: Database Design and Development:
Creating and maintaining database structures, including tables,
views, stored procedures, and functions. SQL Querying: Writing,
optimizing, and testing SQL queries for data manipulation,
reporting, and application integration. Data Management: Ensuring
data accuracy, consistency, and security through various database
operations. Performance Optimization: Identifying and resolving
performance bottlenecks in database queries and overall system
performance. Database Security: Implementing security measures to
protect sensitive data from unauthorized access. Collaboration:
Working with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders
to integrate database solutions into applications and meet business
needs. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving database-related
issues and errors. Documentation: Creating and maintaining
documentation for database designs, procedures, and configurations.
Skills and Qualifications: SQL Proficiency: Strong understanding of
SQL syntax, data types, and database concepts. Database Design:
Ability to design and implement efficient and scalable database
schemas. Performance Tuning: Experience optimizing SQL queries and
database performance. Data Modeling: Familiarity with data modeling
techniques and tools. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills to troubleshoot database issues.
Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with
team members and stakeholders. Database Technologies: May require
experience with specific database systems like SQL Server, Oracle,
MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Programming Languages: May need knowledge of
programming languages like Python, Java, or C#, particularly for
integration with databases.
