for a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Software Systems
Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in
Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama. Individual will join a team of
Systems Engineers who will continue to mature the GN&C Software
Systems Engineering products from Preliminary Design phase to a
Critical Design Review and beyond. The role includes a fully
immersed Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to Systems
Engineering. Individual will be responsible for ensuring the
execution and quality of the GN&C Software engineering products
and their alignment with parent Guidance systems, acting as the
liaison with different IPTs, maturing GN&C Software unit
requirement specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and
architecture definition as well as ensuring vertical and horizontal
integration of the GN&C Software requirements, interfaces and
design. Individual must be capable of performing in a highly
dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities. 10%
Travel.Systems Architect •Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of
study from an accredited university plus 2 years related experience
OR Master's Degree with 0 years experience.Principal Systems
Architect •Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study from an
accredited university plus 5 years related experience OR Master's
Degree plus 3 years related experience or PHD plus 1 year of
experience• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security
clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an
ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the
company to meet its business need.• Knowledge of MBSE with
experience having implemented system architecture definition using
UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as Cameo Enterprise
Architect, Rhapsody, CORE etc.Preferred Qualifications: -
Familiarity or experience with MagicDraw / Cameo EA - Familiarity
or expertise in DOORS requirements management tool - Experience
developing ICDs and defining interfaces in an MBSE environment -
Experience working in an Agile team - Understanding of GN&C
algorithms and flight critical software development - Understanding
of the following specialty areas: nuclear surety, cybersecurity,
flight safety - Working understanding of basic control system
theory and vehicle management systems / guidance system design -
Work experience in one of the following disciplines: guidance &
control systems, inertial sensors, navigation systems or vehicle
management systemsGNC2026Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 -
$118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 -
$147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
