Hydra Dyne Tech Inc. , a wholly owned subsidiary of Muncie Power Products ( Interpump Group Companies ), are joining forces in search of a General Manager (GM). This individual will be directly responsible for the health and performance, success of operations, and positioning the businesses for creation of ongoing shareholder value and growth. As such, the GM will work with the President/CEO to drive the strategic and operational direction of the businesses, provide leadership to their employees, encourage innovation, establish key long-term relationships with business partners and customers to drive business development, and build upon its current market positioning.

The ideal candidate has progressive corporate management experience and is on the ascendancy in their career. This person has a demonstrated track record for effective team building, cross-functional team management, and driving business development, while having a strategic mindset to capitalize on market trends and link products to customers and markets. The candidate must be an innovator, while also setting structured priorities and goals and striving to execute on opportunities of growth for the company and its stakeholders.

Location: This position will sit at Hydra Dyne Tech company headquarters in Ingersoll, Ontario (Canada) . The candidate must be fully committed to this location and willing to relocate (if necessary).

Leadership 100%

Work alongside the President/CEO in establishing strategic plans, priorities with an emphasis on business development and goals for each business unit in partnership with business unit leadership

Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, EBITDA cash flow, and business goals/objectives and have a relentless focus on long-term sustainable EBITDA

Promote core values, purpose and vision to drive the business forward

Build world-class, high performing teams and enable employees by providing the necessary resources to execute on corporate and functional area priorities

Foster teamwork and champion culture

Act as a liaison between the Shareholders, Board of Directors, ELT, and management

Create a learning organization that will continue to grow and enhance the skills and abilities of the team

Ensure accountability in the ELT and management for developing engineering, technical and supervisory excellence and creating latency within the organization through internal talent development and promotion or external hiring as required

Promote an environment of innovation, engineering excellence, customer focus, and outstanding customer service so as to respond to the demands of increasingly service-oriented markets

Link the outside environment and trends of economy, technology, markets, and customers to the inside of the company

Provide for staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence and support an open-door policy among all staff

Encourage open communication and facilitate the involvement of staff, as appropriate, in organizational and strategic matters through regular employee meetings and discussions

Lead continuous improvement and change management efforts that aim to transform the company and lead to higher performance

Maintain the highest level of ethics for the company

Lead the creation, communication, and implementation of effective growth and business development strategies and processes for both businesses based on the core competencies and key strengths of Hydra Dyne Tech and deliberate execution planning to achieve set plans

Anticipate and actively work to ensure that Hydra Dyne Tech remain on top of future market and technology trends

Maintain awareness of the external competitive landscape, risk analysis, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, and standards, etc.

Drive decision-making to create short to long-term improvement while accelerating growth

Solicit advice and guidance, when appropriate, from the Board of Directors and external advisors as appropriate

Business Development 10%

Identify key business development opportunities and strategic growth areas, new potential customer relationships and develop new business aligned with the company's growth strategy

Build relationships with C-Suite leaders and decision-makers at potential customers and existing customers to ensure the procurement of new business and execution on cross-sell / up-sell opportunities

Monitor and analyze market developments and trends, ensure product/ customer/market fit, identify and target new business opportunities on a global level

Drive sales teams to achieve quarterly, annual and multi-year goals

Lead the team to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives

Finance/Reporting 50%

Ensure that detailed, measurable and meaningful priorities are set for quarterly, annual and multi-year periods

Deliver accurate, relevant and reliable reporting to the Shareholders and Board of Directors, including KPIs, dashboards, business trends, performance plans, corporate performance management system, etc.

Ensure that all relevant information is communicated to the Board of Directors in a timely manner including frequent, regular update meetings (in person or by phone)

Interact with the CFO and other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations

Work with the CFO to develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs

Interact with the CFO and the Finance team to report on variances from budget and report findings to the ELT

Provide financial leadership for the related entities at the holding company/investment company level

Administration and Other 5%

Build and maintain effective relationships with local, provincial, and federal government agencies, as well as professional organizations such as consultancy firms and auditors

Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and presentation of reports required by the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders and parties such as regulatory authorities

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, technology or related industry

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance; MBA preferred

Experience leading business development activities is an asset

Experience with P&L responsibility and financial reporting/accounting is an asset

Able to solve complex problems, consider impacts on multiple internal/external stakeholders

Able to find innovative and creative solutions that meet the business needs balanced with the appropriate oversight and controls

Able to view business strategically and drive detailed and operational level activities

Highly organized, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills

Able to plan, assign, coordinate, organize and prioritize work effectively; successful track record in juggling multiple priorities

Strong financial acumen including knowledge of the three statements, working capital, capital budgeting, and budgeting and business planning

A believer in the power of data analytics and dashboards; Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills

Must possess a good personality and be able to work well with others; Good team player

Effective leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring/motivating leaders and employees alike

Experience balancing and aligning objectives of multiple stakeholder groups

Ability to interact with external parties on a regular basis, including external auditors, legal counsel and local bank relationship managers

Superior interpersonal skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills

Charismatic and inspirational with great public speaking and presentation skills
