North American Stamping Group is a privately held company founded in 1978.

A Tier II supplier of components, systems and aftermarket products for the automotive industry with a core business market consisting of seating, ride control, exhaust components, heat shields, noise, vibration and harness (NVH), chassis and structural and window regulators.

Your success is our success--- We are one of the largest leading Tier II automotive stamping and assembly suppliers. The Tool and Die Maker reports to the Tooling Manager or designate. This position works with the Leaders as a Tool & Die to develop and maintain efficient and reliable tooling processes to the Production Department. Troubleshoot any problems that are presented during production or on the bench.

Experience Requirements: --- Minimum 3 years Tool and Die maker --- Self-motivated, self-directed and able to make and meet specific goals in the Tooling Department --- Willing to learn or possess computer skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD --- Willing to learn simple electronics for sensor program assistance Essential Job Functions: A. Work from tool room schedule to ensure that production tooling and equipment is ready to meet customer requirements B. Troubleshoot tooling problems at presses C.

Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production D. Work on production equipment when necessary to maintain production E. Requisition supplies and spare parts for tool room and dies and keep these areas organized F. Maintain clean work areas G.

Work with outside tradesman as required H. Available for overtime as required I. Available for training as required J. Suggest methods of improvement (Continuous Improvement Plan) K.

Interpret prints for tooling modifications, accuracy, &/or improvements L. Work with Engineers to create &/or modify prints to reflect changes M. Perform Preventive maintenance by assignment A. Willing to accept other additional job duties from next level leader Education Requirements: --- Required - High School Diploma or GED --- Preferred - Certified Toolmaker or 5 years' experience in Tool and Die field --- Would be nice - Apprenticeship Program completion North American Stamping Group is a drug-free and smoke-free workplace.
