growth, and as a result we are searching for an experienced
Construction Foreman for our Muncie, IN operations hub
projects.Description of Position:The Foreman will be responsible
for Access and Restoration projects on a day-to-day basis. This
position will work closely with Klein's Superintendent. The Foreman
will also assist the Superintendent to ensure jobs are properly
staffed with equipment as well as personnel.Areas of
Accountability: In addition to working closely with the
Superintendent, the Restoration Foreman is also responsible for the
following:Ability to operate equipment efficiently while managing a
crew of two to five operators. Most commonly used equipment is as
follows:Skid Steer, similar to a CAT 299BulldozerExcavator, similar
to a CAT 320 seriesRubber Tire Loader, similar to a CAT 930KAssist
Superintendent with the coordination & delivery of equipment and
supplies.Be proficient at B2W, (Bid to Win operating
software).Ensure all equipment usage is correctly entered into
B2W.Ensure all employees time is entered correctly into
B2W.Responsible for the coordination and delivery of all
material.Responsible for evaluation of equipment and ensuring
maintenance is scheduled/ completed as required.Ensure maximum
operational/ production efficiencies are reached on a daily
basis.Communicate with respective Superintendent when purchase
orders need to be obtained.Minimal communication with on-site
personnel to include FCCs and customer representatives.Ensure all
safety procedures are completed on a daily basis to include
JHAs.Responsible for the completion of Bill of Ladings on a daily
basis and production rates.Ability to adjust equipment and
personnel needs in the event of changes in job conditions or scope
of work.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Minimum high school diploma
(Associates or Bachelor's degree desired), and 3 to 5 years'
experience on civil or utility/ power line construction projects,
with minimum one year in a supervisory role; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.Knowledge of construction
principles.Ability to lead and manage a group of equipment
operators and laborers effectively and efficiently.Skill in
organizing and coordinating construction projects.Skill in setting
up and maintaining records.Skill in managing project budgets.Skill
in resolving problems related to construction projects, contractor
compliance and project design.Skill in working cooperatively with
others.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in
writing.Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with those contacted in the course of work.PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work involves considerable
physical activity in an outdoor setting with exposure to weather
conditions. There is frequent need to walk, talk or hear, stand,
use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and to lift moderately heavy
objects (up to 50 pounds). There is occasional need to sit, climb
or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch, reach with hands and
arms, and perform other similar actions during the course of the
