Job Description Following is a list of desired responsibilities and qualifications. We are willing to train the right person though if you do not have experience in all of these. Responsibilities This position provides a variety of administrative support functions for transportation operations, while acting as a liaison with drivers and customers Coordinate and assign loads Track drivers to maintain our On-Time goals and limit foreseen issues Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously Distribution of trip paperwork to Drivers Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries Monitor e-mail and respond professionally and timely Create loads in dispatch system Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members On-call duties as needed Promote positive work habits including effective and timely communication, teamwork and respect for co-workers Contribute to providing the highest quality of service to customers Qualifications A successful dispatcher will have previous truck dispatching experience, great communication skills, and ability to work in a team-based environment Six months of previous dispatcher / logistics experience Fundamental knowledge of transportation and routing Ability to make sound decisions within Company and DOT guidelines Knowledge of DOT and Hours-of-Service Rules and Regulations or willingness to learn Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Email, Scanning and attaching documents Previous experience with Omnitracs or other ELD systems Benefits Paid Vacation Paid Holidays $200 Monthly Insurance assistance $35 Monthly cell phone reimbursement 401K coming soon Company Description JNR Trucking is a growing company. We run a small fleet of trucks over the road primarily hauling reefer freight. We also have a Heavy Duty Diesel Repair Shop in Muncie and Daleville.
