Job Description:

The Sales Development Consultant is responsible for successful delivery of expertise through continuous development and building of acumen to our branch teams. This position drives delivery of strategic efforts and coaching, focused on financial wellness, channel adoption, and digital engagement while onboarding new employees into the Northwest sales and experience culture.

Essential Functions
---Ensure that we are sales-focused with our consistent financial wellness approach - training and coaching employees to effectively deliver
---Manage/supervise new-hire progress through a learning plan and proficiency in financial sales conversations with customers
---Manage skill based assessment of employees to uncover learning gaps and create a learning/coaching plan to address gaps
---Lead sales activity management practices and sales leadership accountability to coach and manage to expectations
---Help design and deliver sales/financial wellness enablement tools and ensure they are being leveraged as utilized
---Deliver a curriculum for new employees during onboarding
---Deliver a curriculum and "get to green" acumen curriculum for existing employees who are underperforming
---Integral involvement of the merger related onboarding of newly acquired people to Northwest
---Provide expertise and local/in-market partnerships that drive deeper client engagement and brining to life customer 360
---Inform strategic initiatives through bringing feedback from the field
---Digital champion, ensuring execution of our digital engagement program is fully and effectively adopted and created excitement and awareness
---Participate in regional meetings as the spokesperson and SME related to sales effectiveness initiatives, financial wellness and digital engagement
---Use insight (data and sentiment) to develop and drive action and results in partnership with regional leadership
---Keep Regional President and District Managers informed of employee progress and challenges
---Plan, implement and manage sales educational workshops
---Identify ways to improve the sales process
---Suggest solutions in a timely manner
---Identify labor with needs, strengths and weaknesses
---Identify needs for sales skills improvement
---Set objectives and KPIs
---Set up and monitor sales processes
---Serve as advisor to our employees by answering all of their sales related questions and concerns
---Evaluate strengths and weaknesses to identify training needs
---Stay up-to-date with latest sales trends and best practices
---Communicate with clients or employers about project, event or campaign expectations and goals
---Collaborate with clients or employers, finance teams and other team members on budgeting and allocating funds
---Delegate tasks to appropriate team members
---Manage deadlines and progress across the team to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget
---Organize third-party providers and vendors to deliver elements that can't be produced in-house
---Oversee the delivery of projects and make adjustments as necessary to ensure they are delivered to specifications and high standards
---Collect and analyze feedback from customers and other project users to gauge satisfaction and success
---Prepare new sales representatives by conducting orientation to sales process
---Develop individual coaching plans
---Provide resources and assistance
---Schedule orientation drive-alongs with senior representatives
---Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
---Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
---Work as part of a team
---Work with on-site equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, or related subject preferred

Work Experience

8 - 12 years Experience leading/coaching individuals/team with sales and performance goals and
6 - 8 years Experience in a supervisory role and
8 - 12 years Experience in facilitation of learning related events (formal and informal) both in person and virtually and
8 - 12 years Experience in design and creation of training and development resources

---Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written

---Ability to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and information
---Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas
